Vernicia is a womenswear brand exclusively designed and handmade in London. The brand is for women, by a woman, to accentuate what makes us: beautiful, feminine and powerful.
Vernicia was launched in 2021 by Brianna Vernicia Mills. Creative from a young age, and always keeping busy with her hands, Brianna found her purpose after asking her mum for a sewing machine for her 12th birthday. After that, she found out what an avid sewer and knitter her gran was.
Her mum found a dressmaker called Roz and up until she went to college, to study fashion, she would attend her dressmaking class every Saturday. Brianna studied fashion design at Middlesex University and there, she found her style.
She has worked in exclusive ateliers in London and gained invaluable experience on the renowned Savile Row. Influenced by traditional menswear tailoring and couture, she works with beautiful luxury fabrics and finishes pieces with the upmost care. All of the garments are designed, pattern cut and handmade in house by Brianna at her studio in London.
As well as offering a made to order collection which can be customised, she works with clients to create bespoke pieces. She loves to collaborate with clients, bringing design ideas to life and making their garment dreams come true.
